1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small files that a website stores on your device. We also use the term for similar technologies, such as local storage and tracking pixels, because the same rules apply to them. The Dutch Telecommunications Act (art. 11.7a) says we may only store or read such data on your device with your consent, unless it is strictly necessary for a service you asked for, or falls under a narrow exemption.
2. What we use
[CURRENT STATUS: describe exactly what the site sets today. For example: "At this moment the site only stores what is strictly necessary to work, and your cookie choice." Update this when you add login, analytics or ads.]
| Category | What it is for | Consent needed? |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Making the site work: keeping you logged in, security, and remembering your cookie choice. | No. |
| Analytics | Showing us which pages are used, so we can improve the site.[ANALYTICS: name the tool, or write "We do not use analytics."] | Only if the tool is not privacy-friendly. Strictly privacy-friendly analytics (anonymised, no sharing with third parties, no cross-site tracking) can work without consent. |
| Marketing | Measuring and improving our ads, and showing them to people who visited the site (for example Meta or TikTok pixels). | Yes, always. We do not set these until you accept them. |
3. Cookies we set
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
dwm-consent | This site | Remembers your cookie choice (stored in your browser). | Until you clear it |
| [LOGIN / SESSION COOKIE NAMES] | [PROVIDER] | Keeps you logged in. | [LIFETIME] |
| [ANALYTICS / MARKETING COOKIES, if any] | [PROVIDER] | [PURPOSE] | [LIFETIME] |
4. Managing your choices
- When we use optional cookies, a banner asks for your choice. “Accept all” and “Reject all” are equally easy to use. Nothing optional is set before you choose.
- You can change your choice at any time with the “Cookie settings” link in the footer of every page.
- You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking necessary cookies may stop parts of the site from working.
5. Personal data
Where cookies involve personal data, our privacy statement explains what we do with it and what your rights are.
6. Changes and questions
We update this policy when our use of cookies changes. The date at the top shows when it last changed. Questions? Email [email protected].
